Inge Diepman lives up to her name and, during our conversation, immediately presented me with a profound question, “What were you like as a child?”
And honestly? I have been a bit guilty of giving her the real answer, because the action cab for others does not allow itself to be parked so easily. Therefore, it might be decent to give her an answer to this question via this post anyway.
As a child, I was mostly concerned with being as regular as possible. While classmates wrote that they wanted to be firefighters, I wrote in my friend’s book that I did not want to be on welfare. I often had a tendency to take care of others and from a young age I had a fairly analytical view of people, processes and my environment. Although I could not put words to that at the time, that already laid the foundation for the work I do now.
All in all, it was a very nice intimate session in which we were able to explore the depths together and connect. I hope we get to follow up on that in the near future. Because if there is one thing I believe in: you always move forward in connection. In particular, I also thank Esmar van Langen for a particularly beautiful day and her assistance, in the absence of us Myrthe Huisman.
Finally, I was also able to give the group three tips on how to be an inclusive entrepreneur or how to make your workplace a lot more inclusive. Are you a case manager, work for a job coaching organization or are you an employer and looking for a different approach?
If so, get in touch with me soon!
