“If you do what you always did, you get what you always got.”

This powerful wisdom, often attributed to Albert Einstein, reminds us that change begins with letting go of old patterns. What about me? I love change-even if it’s sometimes a leap of faith! And yes, sometimes things do go wrong. But I catch myself-or am caught by my warm supporters. Because that’s where the magic is: not in being flawless, but in putting things right together. Whether it’s job training or client and patient participation, it’s always about working together and making a difference.

Last week, I received a special compliment: “Your unconventional way of thinking could yet provide a nice movement in the priority task of the Integrated Care Agreement (IZA).” That is exactly what I put my heart into: working together on sustainable and future-proof care, and finding creative solutions to complex issues.

“Als je doet wat je altijd deed, krijg je wat je altijd kreeg.”

Have you ever realized what is made possible with the premium of your health insurance and your municipality? They are used to realize wonderful projects that make a local impact and contribute to global goals, such as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). That touches and motivates me.

At the same time, I am at a crossroads myself. I am thinking hard about the next steps in my career:

– Administrative: working at the strategic and policy level.
– Political: deepening my impact within the political arena.
– Regional or sub-regional: realizing direct impact within local communities.

The path is not quite clear yet, but I’m talking a lot about it. Do you have ideas or want to spar about this? Then let’s talk about it! My work sometimes feels like dancing on a teeter-totter. And yes, sometimes I miss the mark in all my enthusiasm. But we build something solid out of that together – a platform where everyone has room to participate, from their perspective.

Finally, a sincere thank you to my network. You are the engine behind everything I do. I may be the instrument that drives change, but you are the ones who make the real difference. With your support, ideas and commitment, together we are building a future where we turn obstacles into opportunities. Together we create a movement that not only inspires, but has real impact. And for that I am incredibly grateful.
