If you are in a wheelchair, have another physical disability, are over 50 or have a migrant background, it remains harder than average to find work. Hence, employers and organisations from the region gathered in the Brabanthallen on Thursday to make the workplace more inclusive and diverse.

The labour market organisation writes on its website that Brabant would be “the most inclusive province in the Netherlands”, but not everyone agrees yet. FNV Nederland and IBN are critical but see that there is good will. The FNV hopes there will be extra budget to put its money where its mouth is.
People with a disability or distance to the labour market, are still finding it difficult to find work. Despite the current high demand for workers. Sixty per cent of employers would like to employ these people, but due to various obstacles, only 12 per cent succeed.
